I purchased this because I thought it would accomplish the perfect look for my small wedding cake. The checkered black and white looked amazing against the brown table and surrounding blooms and candles.

Was a bit skeptical, expected this to be a heavy ceramic but it is actually a lightweight metal. It looks handpainted and not machine made.At first I was surprised by the metal, but it means no chipping in our house. It seems a little pricey for what it is, but it has a great look and seems like something that will last for a long time. Used for Halloween and Thanksgiving. Lots of compliments

This cake plate is absolutely beautiful!! If you’re a fan of MacKenzie Childs, you’ll love this and especially if you have other Courtly Check pieces. This cake/pastry stand is not flimsy or cheaply made in any way. This has weight to it so it will last forever as long as you take care of it. I only hand wash this. It’s definitely not for the dishwasher! I’ve used this several times for hosting and I always get compliments. Highly recommend if you like this pattern!!

I am a Mackenzie-Childs collector of Courtly Check and when a birthday gift I'd bought myself was back stocked out of the MC warehouse, I saw that it was next-day eligible on Amazon. It came just in time for my happy birthday and it is the same gorgeous quality I would have gotten on the MC website. Only drawback is my purchase doesn't qualify for loyalty points, but it was worth it to have a gorgeous cake stand on my birthday to blow out those candles. Thank you, Amazon, for saving the day!

The pedestal platter is beautiful and versatile. I ordered one as a gift for a friend's birthday in November and she loved it. Ordered a second one for another friend for Christmas.
