What is mother of pearl?
Mother of pearl is the natural lined crystals of calcium carbonate on sea shells. These crystals produce iridescent colors when reflecting light. Sea shell crafting has been popular in Asia since the Goryeo dynasty 932-1392.

How is it made?
- Sea shells are pressed into a mother of pearl sheet
- A design is printed directly onto the MOP sheet
- Layering of protective epoxy resin coating is applied by hand
- The MOP sheet is put into an oven to glaze and harden
- Lastly the MOP sheet is sealed onto a metal case
- The end result is a shiny gloss finish that is luminous reflecting light!

Busy Busy Day…..Upon arrival opening the amazon packaging , I first saw a dark box through a clear cellophane paper.Once I discarded the cellophane paper, the dark box was really nice …impeccable quality as if opening up a jewelry box of an high end item…inside there laid 2 cards, (1) Indicating a “ Quality Check “ and (2) A well thought out “ Thank You” from the Designer and Manufacturer. Surrounded within a beautiful white satin cloth set inside a casement was this immaculate business card case displaying the “Peacocks” exactly as shown on Amazon.This delivery and presentation was so well done and special , it melted my heart and I HAD to share this experience with the you. I have purchased jewelry from high end stores such as Neiman Marcus, Saks ,etc. and the delivery nor presentation has not always been as nice and well thought of for its clients like this !YES, PLEASE. BUY !!! I hope everyone will enjoy the moment that I experience today and may there be many years of enjoying this card holder, as I look forward to as well.

Appearance at least as nice as shown. Well finished, sturdy, will not be easily distorted in regular use as some lightweight cases are. Comes in very elegant gift box.The only downside is the presence of some sharp corners that could have been rounded to good effect, otherwise a five-star product.

The mother of pearl is beautiful, but the peacocks, flowers and butterflies are gorgeous. I am thrilled with this purchase. I would absolutely recommend this to friends and family, and I will look to these for a beautiful gift in the future. Love it!

This card holder can hold about 20 business cards, it’s a nice presentation when someone asks for a card. It’s well made and comes in a nice gift box. Love the picture on the front

This is my second purchase from Madd-Design and I have been very pleased with both items. Everything arrives on time, in a pretty and sturdy box and the quality of the item is excellent. I'm going to buy a couple more of the business card holders as gifts for family and friends. The card holder easily holds 3 credit cards and my drivers license. I feel secure with my cards in the holder and I can easily access my critical cards and license via the holder. Bonus the inside of the holder serves as a mirror.
