Your cart is empty.Madison Company’s Tilt Float Switches provide inexpensive, efficient and highly reliable level detection in open vessels, sumps and ponds. The molded rubber float has an integral three-conductor cable and operates on a micro-switch device that is located inside the float on an anti-vibration mount. The rubber float is constructed of ethylene propylene diene (EPDM), a synthetic rubber with rigid and durable characteristics for long service life and resistance to heat, oxidation, ozone and aging due to weather. As a non-polar elastomer, EPDM has good electrical resistivity, as well as resistance to polar solvents such as water, acids, alkalies, phosphate esters and many ketones and alcohols. The basic operating principle is that as the fluid level rises the float will rise, causing the micro-switch to tilt and generate a signal that can be used to start or stop a pump, open or close a valve or actuate indicator alarms as required. Float travel is in an approximately +/-45 degree arc from its nominal position. Low cost. Easy installation. I received the right float quickly, and after removing the old one,I started to install it in a cistern. The float does not "work"; The switch seems OK, the cable is OK but...the float sinks!! I returned the unit promptly and ordered a replacement. Again, I received the replacement quickly, and strong with my previous experience, tested it before climbing on the cistern. The new float also sinks!!There seems to be a design flaw and the weight of 24 inches of cable is enough to make it sink. I am not going to buy from Madison again!

When I recieved this product after opening it I found that the wrong float was packaged insted of getting a float with 32' cable I got 6.5' cable which look ed used as well was charged for 32', float being in a pinch and having State Park sewer system down ! I was forced to use the wrong size float to solve the emergency could not return it due to situtation at hand This is not the 1st time a problem like this has happened which forced me to eat the money. In future I may scale back on my purcheses with your co. Hope to hear from you so we can resolve problems in the future. timmeyer1828@yahoo.com . Also I never recieved the 5 led 220 volt red pilot lights I ordered last month sch to recieve on nov5 HELP!!!
