This pack is lightweight yet feels sturdy and well put together. It is well thought out, with straps, d-rings, pockets and loops all over the pack. The included rain cover is a nice addition. It is just the right size for a daypack and while the storage is spacious it can cinch down when not full to reduce its footprint and make it easier to carry.There is an elastic cord on the front for securing a jacket or other item, and straps on the bottom and top to secure longer items. There are also side straps to secure hiking poles. The zippers move easily and smoothly. There is an internal pocket and pass-through for a hydration bladder as well.Shoulder straps are padded and adjustable and the padded waist belt even includes pockets for small items the you might need to access easily. A very comfortable carry.

Me and my wife love to go hiking for the day. we ordered this to replace the one we already have. Its a little bit bigger than our old one which worried us at first. now that it is loaded and ready to go we love it. It has plenty of pockets and compartments to organize. It is light weight but seems to be sturdy and well built. It has a padded waist belt and shoulder straps. The shoulder straps have a clip to keep them from sliding off your shoulders. We are looking forward to many miles of use.

I’ve taken the Maelstrom Hiking Backpack on multiple hikes now, and I’m seriously impressed with its durability and functionality. The material feels rugged and built to last—even through rough terrain and unpredictable weather. One of my favorite features is the abundance of pockets! There’s a place for everything: snacks, water bottles, extra layers, first aid, and even a separate space for wet gear. It’s incredibly well-designed for organization and comfort on the trail. Highly recommend this pack for anyone who wants something reliable and spacious for all their outdoor adventures!

I ordered this backpack for some short trips into the backcountry. I was shocked at the quality of the backpack for this price. I like the small size and lightweight construction. It is well built and a quality product. The padding is soft and zippers on the pockets work well. It has all of the pockets and features one would expect from one of the big name brands but for much less. Overall I am impressed and would recommend this backpack.

Just received my backpack and this thing has it all! So many pockets, straps, and hooks perfect for securing all your gear. Even includes a waterproof cover which is a bonus! Tons of room and feels very durable. Can’t wait to take it out on my first adventure and report back.

At first I wasn’t sure about getting the green color but I absolutely love it! It’s definitely true to its color. It’s super spacious, lightweight and loaded with lots of extras. I was surprised that the main pocket has a compartment with a Velcro strap and a nicely covered hole on the top for perfectly securing my water bladder system. I’m a huge fan of the Maelstrom bags and this one doesn’t disappoint. So many addition pockets and straps for my hiking poles. It also comes with an extra rain cover that is located in the bottom pocket which can be used over the bag for extra protection or maybe to wrap wet clothes in. The waste pocket is perfect for your cell phone. It's a great quality backpack but most importantly it’s super comfortable for those extra-long hikes. I love it.
