I didn't realize this when I ordered but these maracas are not the full sized units I thought they would be. They are actually only about 4.5 inches long! However - they are well made, and since they are unpainted, I am going to give 2 to each of my 4 grandkids and let them paint them any way they want. And when they're dry, I'll spray some clear finish over them. They'll have fun and think Grandpa is a great guy (for a change). Plus, because they are so small, they aren't very loud... a real bonus for my daughter (their mom). Overall good deal, but just be aware that they are tiny!
