When it comes to these aprons, they have select uses, I would say. It has almost an oily film on the outside--not in that it leaves oil on your hands, but you can feel a film on the material-- and this means that if you are painting, it will be very easy to wash off. If you are working with dust, dirt, and grime, it comes down far, gives good coverage, and would again, be very easy to wash off and reuse. With that said, they are definitely not durable. If it got caught on a nail as I walk, it would rip apart. On the side, to secure it, there are very cheap strings. Not even shoestring type strings, but a thinner plastic--maybe one step up from plastic and a step down from shoestrings-- sort of strings. I could see them easily ripping and not lasting, even if the apron itself was able to survive.Pros and cons. Personally, I would only use it for very select projects, ones that I myself don't usually do. But if you paint often or you want aprons in bulk, for a reasonable price, that you can use and reuse and dispose of afterwards, this is the product for you!

These are pretty basic vinyl aprons. Each apron has 3 strings included but they are not tied into the apron grommets. Not really a big deal though. The strings are long enough to loop over the head but the waist strings are only long enough to tie behind your back. It is much easier to tie in front, so it would be better if the waist strings were double the length provided. My solution is to tie two strings together. I dropped my overall rating back a star because of this minor deficiency. On the plus side, these are perfect for situations where you plan to dispose of the apron after a few uses. In my case, I use these when mixing herbicides and insecticides on the farm. The coverage of these aprons is very good and helps minimize exposure of my work clothing to chemicals.

When we open the box, we were surprised to find that we actually got 13 of these, and my husband said they feel like they’re thicker than six mil.I grabbed these for him to use when he’s working in the garage, where he works with a mixture of oils and gas while he’s repairing weed-eaters, lawn mowers, and leaf blowers. The chemicals he uses sometimes eats through his clothes, but this seems to protect them and nothing has eaten through the PVC these are made out of yet.It doesn’t show it in the picture, but the cloth strings are adjustable through a grommet, and there are grommets on the sides with another adjustable cloth string, which allows you to tie those tight around your waist. I think that’s a big + for someone working with a table-saw, or lawnmower/weed eater, or anything else that could catch your clothing if it wasn’t pulled tight. The PVC is thick and stretches before it breaks, and it takes a lot of pressure to puncture at all. This could last for many, many uses with a quick hose off in between before needing to be replaced.Well worth the money, and has lots of unadvertised features.
