The weak link is the pressure part to squeeze onto your chosen rail mount,,,its a stainless bolt on a stainless star washer with a stainless nut..it causes immediiate galling when tightenting rendering it useless for mounting....mine snapped at the nut trying to loosen and reposition kettle...yea I had to use a 1/2 inch breaker bar to get it apart.....next once you drop the hot chimmeny charcoal on the grate its too hot to spin the cooking grate on !!! I only used it one time and its got these bad issues..bad engineering.

Buy this one that eats charcoal. I took others advise and bought this one instead of the gas. It works regardless of the wind. Gas ones on a boat where there’s always wind will not cook your food very well. Experienced this on a friends boat. He’s now purchasing this charcoal model. Be sure to get the charcoal starter for this grill, as it measures the amount of coal. Also was surprised how much surface area it has. Very nice.

I am also disappointed in the design changes. What happened to the knob to adjust the top vent? The party size model does need a longer arm to extend it off the deck. While I like the hinged top, I am concerned how it will function over the long run. I had my original one for 20 years...I am trying to be hopeful regarding this one.

It is exactly as the picture however the pole dose not come with, one must purchase separately. We use Everytime we go out on the boat. My husband loves it. Delivery was speedy.

Had the 15" model on our boat and was tired of needing to cook two rounds of dinner when we have teenagers on board. Got a fabulous price on an open box but new 17". 2" larger diameter doesn't sound like much but it gives over 200 square inches more cooking space. These Magma grills are very well designed, durable enough for a salt water marine environment, and the next best thing to a Primo or Green Egg.

Put on pontoon boat. Great to grill while on boat. Have done hamburgers, hot dogs, steaks, and chicken and quail. Stainless steel is great on water...easy to clean.
