2019 5.0 F150 Sounded great, looked great, but drone was unbearable at 1800-2000 RPMs. Replaced with pn 12579 5x11, not as aggressive sounding but much better on drone

Magnaflow mufflers are awesome. They are a straight through pipe that's perforated in the muffler body packed with fiberglass and steel wool. No other muffler besides a straight pipe will give you less power loss. To get the sound quieter you will need to go with the largest bodies you can fit. Often times more than one.These get louder after a few months once the wading has been burned in. I dont buy these to be louder. I buy them for better flow. I fit as big and or as many as I can to bring the sound level down. Generally one 24" body will idle close to stock. But if you open up the throttle it will be a lot louder than stock.I hope this info is helpful.The issue with all the magnaflow mufflers listed on Amazon is they are missing key info.This is what you need to know.This is a 5x8 oval body 24" muffler body 30 inches overall.2 1/2 in and 2 1/2 out center.

Put this on my 2018 F150 5.0 and it gives a nice low tone that's very subtle. You hear it when you're on the go pedal but barely at all at cruising speed. No drone. I used this one to replace the Magnaflow 12249 that was just too loud and had drone.

I used this on my Jeep Grand Wagoneer that I swapped an LSx into, and it sounds great! It gives the engine a nice deep tone and isn't loud. It is not near as quiet as the stock exhaust that come on the LS engines from the factory, but is not loud either. Good deep exhaust note/tone, and doesn't resonate through the cab.

I recently purchased a Gibson cat back system for my 2004 Nissan Titan 5.6L and absolutely hated th he way it sounded so I needed muffler that I swap in without any modifications. I have owned MagnaFlow before and had a different set up with MagnaFlow on the truck in the past and also a Flowmaster previously. All I can say is these MagnaFlow mufflers are awesome! Beware (if you are wanting loud) this muffler is very quiet at idle (mellow tone) and at cruise speed. Has a good aggressive sound at wide open throttle. No rasp, tin sound or popping . Nice quiet mellow tone. It is 100% better than the Gibson muffler! I will probably never buy anything but magnaflow from now on. I always keep going back to them.

Nice product but note the description below the price says "Oval body with single inlet and outlet measuring 2.25 inches"...The connections are 2.5".

Order a pair and the first muffler arrived as expected with shipping (had to wait and extra day for second muffler), and I paid extra for next day delivery. Workmanship is great and you can tell these are well made. I had them installed by a local muffler shop who commented these are very popular and keep their sound well over time. Sound is just what I needed (much quieter than glass packs), but still has a nice tone. Very pleased I selected Magnaflow verses any other brand.
