Will not stick to anything. Do not buy unless you want to screw it into your vehicle the tape does absolutely nothing.

A lot of plastic here, kind of expected for the price point. Would have preferred more aluminum but it does feel reasonably durable as is. The adhesive tape is genuine 3m but I would not rely on it unless you're putting it on a smooth, flat surface that is well prepped. Just use screws as well and don't worry about it.How well it works depends on what you put in it and where you mount it. I am using it with a full size M&P with the TLR-1. The cradle fits almost perfectly over the trigger guard between the light paddles and the mag release. The positive is that it completely covers the trigger so an added bit of safety. The negative is that when removing the pistol in anything other than a straight up motion it hits either the light paddles, briefly turning the light on, or it presses on the mag release and it has actually released the magazine on a few occasions. This is however not a design flaw, and I can't really count it as a negative because it's a universal mount and they don't know what you're going to put in it. Both of these issues can be solved with some light Dremel work. Just something to think about.You'll want to consider how you intend to mount it before ordering to determine if it will work for you. Whatever you put into it is going to sit pretty flat against the surface it is mounted to. If using for a pistol, this may make getting a good purchase on the firearm to remove it safely a challenge. I would recommend mounting it so that there is a void behind the grip so you can get your hand around it.The magnet does a good job of keeping the pistol in the cradle, if you're using it on a stationary object, it's never going to fall out of it. It would probably work well in a vehicle, however if you are using it with a heavy firearm and will be driving rough roads, I would definitely test it before considering it safe.Another thing to keep in mind is that this in no way secures your firearm against theft or unauthorized use so only use it in areas where those issues are not a concern.If you need something to keep a firearm quickly accessible, this may work well for you. Just practice mounting and removing it to be sure you can do it safely.

I really like these mounts! They allow you to securely mount your handgun in many places without marring your finish and yet still allowing quick access.The magnet is of good strength to securely hold your handgun. However, I would like the option of using a magnet to hold the mount on a metal surface as well.I just mounted this on plastic and although I know the 3M adhesive pad works well, I am not sure how long it will hold on plastic with large variances in temperature. I may have to use the screws however, I’d rather not put holes in the plastic.I do like this mount very well. I think it is well designed and constructed. I would order it again.

I love everything about this but one major downfall for me was the sticky backing did nothing. I cleaned the surface and let it dry. Stuck it on and as soon as I let go it fell right down.

The supplied 3M adhesive works really well. Glock 43 and Taurus G3C with laser optics fit real well.

I received the Magnet Mount for Car and have been using it for a few weeks now. Overall, it’s a great addition to my vehicle, especially for quick and easy access to my pistol. The magnetic strength is impressive—I've used it for a revolver and it holds securely even during some bumps in the road. It claims to hold up to 15 lbs, and that seems accurate based on my experience.I like that it offers trigger guard protection, which is an important safety feature. The mounting is pretty versatile; you can install it on your car, truck, safe, or even a wall. I tried it in both my car and on a desk, and it’s worked well in both spots. Installation is quick and I appreciate how easy it is to set up.The quick release feature is nice—whenever I need my gun, it comes off easily and I don’t have to struggle. However, the reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it would be great if there were more mounting options or an ability to adjust the angle more freely. It works fine for me, but it could be a bit more flexible.Overall, a solid product for anyone needing a convenient, secure mount for firearms with quick access!
