Great idea for the phone placement. Given the reviews on the magnet weakness, I thought I could instead use the ball mount for another bracket I have. Unfortunately, the ball in this item is much smaller than a bunch of other I had from older GPS mounts, etc. It is about 12 mm diameter, or 7/16 inch size, while the typical ones are 18 mm. On the photo, you see the ball size compared to the typical one from a windshield mount for phone or a GPS unit.So this idea failed, and I need to return this item. I can't use the magnet anyway due to the phone case I have.

If I could give this zero stars I would. I just got it, and the magnetic is so week my phone just slides off. Don't bother buying it's garbage

Neat idea, but...Magnet not really powerful enough to hold a phone.

Junk. Not only does the magnet not hold your phone but if you have a left handed guitar it wouldn’t work because it is fixed for a right handed guitar. Do t waste your money.

Does not work. The magnet ring is not the same size as the ring on the iPhone and even with the metal sticker, it is not strong enough to hold a phone. Waste of money.

Yes, I just got it; it is a weak magnet if I move it falls off.I’m going to try Velcro on the phone and stand or figure out how to get an additional stronger magnet. I got it cause I like the idea of the phone on the guitar. But I don’t recommend suction cup one, I bought that, and the whole stand fell off the guitar. I like the guarantee with the clamp that holds on strong to the guitar, just need to find a way for the phone to stay on the stand. This got me half way there to what I’m looking for. 2.5 out of 5

Great idea but lacking in execution. The magnet is not strong enough to hold an iPhone, and does not work with a case, even a MagSafe case.
