Unfortunately the magnet doesn’t work for the top of my microwave. I had bought one for my other microwave & it works great.

I'd previously bought a less expensive knock-off and after 3 of the magnets fell off, I figured I'd just get the real thing.For several reasons, I'm so happy that I did.Love this because:- the magnets are either much stronger or placed better, because I don't have trouble getting it to hold. Could just be a matter of the specific nature of how the inside of our microwave is designed, but I used to have to fiddle with the old cover to get the magnets perfectly aligned to the inside. This one allows me to just sort of flip it up and it stays put.- the inside height gives a good inch more clearance so it doesn't touch your food. Call me lazy, but using the other one meant that I also had to wash it after every use. I can count on one hand the times I needed to wash this one - - - and that's only because of splatters and not because of direct contact with the food it was covering.FYI:- the diameter is smaller than our previous one. Rather than sit on the microwave turntable with the dish completely covered as our old one did, this cover sits on the rim of the plate itself. This matters not at all to us, but it's something to mention.- not all microwave ovens will work with magnets. Got this for our Whirlpool microwave and it works great. Bought another for our second home that has a GE Cafe Advantium microwave and magnets do not attract to the interior of that one. Check the interior of your microwave oven before ordering this.Not so great:- I only mention this because I'm looking for something to put on the "con" list, but I initially thought that because this cover is collapsible, that I could stick it up and collapse it in one motion. It wouldn't take up so much space for those times I didn't need to use it.Unfortunately it takes 2 hands and a bit of work to collapse and open the cover.Again, this is far from being an issue, as I just leave it up and open, but it's just something to mention.Overall - - - very happy.

Tengo un microondas algo irregular en la parte superior y no se pega bien aún con los 4 imanes sosteniendolo, los imanes son muy debiles, funciona bien como cubierta, pero para una cubierta no hubiese comprado esto :S

I like this microwave top because it really sits at the top of the microwave. So, even if I don't need it while I warm food up, it still sits at the top, out of the way. It's not too bulky and it covers most of my food plates and bowls. It's easy to clean and it still sticks like new after each wash. It never gets hot, not even the magnets, so its safe. The quality, value & performance does all line up with this product. I purchased the smaller one. I would recommend and buy again.

Bottom line it's not a bad cover for the microwave. My only issue is with the magnets. They are not that strong and at the same time it also depends on how your microwave roof inside or ceiling is designed. My microwave has a section in the roof on the inside where it dips or caves in the back. It's not completely flat across the top. So the magnet can't get close enough to it to fully attach and secure itself. Like I said not to mention the fact that the magnets are not as strong as they should be or could be. Otherwise nice cover that works fine. If you have a flat roof or ceiling inside the microwave , should work out just fine with the magnets . Price wise, too expensive in all honesty. Had the girlfriend split the difference with me lol. Don't care to pay over $25 for a microwave cover quite frankly. Needed something that could store easy out of the way and stay inside the microwave because of space limitations.

I had a cover prior to purchasing this one and my husband was constantly leaving it on the counter after use, requiring me to follow up after him. Now, all he has to do after use is stick it to the top of the microwave, one problem solved. This works well and the magnets serve the purpose. I run it under warm water to cleanse it and it is an easy cleanup...I prefer that to putting it in the dishwasher, even though it can be placed safely in there too. It is a bit more expensive, but being able to collapse it and store it easily are nice features. It seems to be sturdy and will likely last a long while.

Have only had this lid for less than a month. Use it in my microwave on regular basis, this morning I was reheating food for 30 seconds and I noticed a spark and the lid started on fire in my microwave. I Immediately turned it off but good thing I was watching it otherwise it would have been a huge fire. Not worth the hassle.

Wish it was a bit larger. It doesn’t fit over the plate even though I measured and it was supposed to it ran small. It’s good quality, easy to use, and easy to open. Money wise I could be cheaper for how small it runs. 6/10

Even though this cover isn't perfect, I'm still giving it five stars because I love it so much. It's awesome to have an out-of-the-way place to store the cover in the microwave, then just pop it down when it's needed.It can be improved upon by increasing the diameter and using slightly stronger magnets. We use standard-sized plates, and the cover is a tad too small for them. Also, many of the reviews said a piece of metal would unknowingly attach itself to the magnets when the cover was put aside and not in use, then it would spark in the microwave. To avoid this, I attach the cover to our refrigerator when I need to microwave something without it, but the magnets aren't strong enough so it slides down. I threw a different magnet under it to prop it up, and that works just fine. The magnets weren't meant for this storage purpose, so it would not seem fair to deduct stars for this reason.
