It's not huge, but it is not loud, and functions perfectly. Seems to be built well, and easy to use. It's worth the price and I'll pay more when I need more precise controls!

it cant get more than a 500 ml full to 150 degrees C, let alone an oil bath. the heat is far too weak.

I wish I could return this!!! Doesn't mix the resin AT ALL. The heat gets way to hot even on the lowest setting. 🥵 🔥Ive tried different size magnets 🧲 to mix the resin & it never mixes.I'll send a video soon.I was really wanting to love this & help me with my resin projects 😫 unfortunately a complete failure 😢

Honestly so far this thing has exceeded my expectations given its price. I'm no professional chemist or anything but I do a fair bit of electroplating, and I tend to synthesize my own copper sulfate, and those are just a few of the ways that magnetic stirrers really put the "smarter" in "work smarter not harder"My only complaint so far is that I can tell from the sound that the motor makes when it's starting up from a complete stop, or if you try to run it at low speeds, that the speed controller is almost certainly a rheostat or potentiometer being used as a current-limiter for what's probably a DC motor, and that’s... well, as far as methods of regulating motor speed that isn't exactly the healthiest one for the motors longevity. Pulsewidth modulation would be much more forgiving to the motor. But I guess that's where they cut the costs to bring the price down to as downright affordable as they did.Who knows maybe one day I'll mod it and add my own PWM circuitry with a 555 timer circuit *shrug*

I purchased this product to help make my cosmetic products. The magnetic stirrer is terrible. It bounces in place; never does a circle to stir. The hot plate is okay but isn’t too stable. Just pay the extra cash and get a more professional device.

Heating element is very good; the stirrer doesn't work. Motor spins, but doesn't always turn the magnet; and regardless, the magnet is not strong enough to spin the little stirrer.Returning it.

Wonderful automatic heated stirring device. very impressed with quality of machinery, cost of product, and ease of use. It also add a nice clean and steral look to my lab. I have tried a lot of different automatic stirring plates but this one in particular has a reasonably good functioning motor that has minimal noise level. I'm very happy with my purchase.
