Use an aircraft bit 6" long and cut off the excess with grinder. about half the cost or less, same flute length with long shaft. But if you can't do that this will get you rolling again.

The Snappy self-centering hinge drilling jigs are a great tool, but it is possible to break off the bits. I wish they used standard-length drill bits, but the jig requires this special length of bit. I was happy to find these replacement bits.
