If you let the stone settle under 6 inches or more of water it doesn't have the power to push air into the stone.

I needed a portable air pump for my minnows and this works great for ice fishing. It's not to loud as I had some of those air pumps that were really loud and this one is very quite. Would buy this again.

The device is made from plastic but doesn't feel cheap. It takes D batteries and I find the battery life lasts for about 35-40 hours of constant use. Personally, I use this to brew compost tea for my plants. It's nice that I can take it outside and freely move it around without wires. It's very quiet. It has a faint tick to it when in operation, similar to a clock. It comes with the tubing and air stone in the box. It even has a useful clip on the back to secure it. My only issue is the device itself doesn't sit upright and leans over. It's not the end of the world but can be annoying in the moment. Otherwise, this is a great addition to my toolset.
