I ordered this decanter for a slightly alternative use. My partner and I went on vacation last year and it was his first time seeing the ocean. I think most of us collect sand on our first trip to the beach when you live in a land locked state. For the last year that sand has sat in a water bottle that he refused to get rid of, saying he wanted a nice container to display the sand alongside our pictures and memorabilia from vacation. This decanter came across my Amazon and I was inspired to use it. It was delivered in safe packaging and perfect condition. It's made of thick, heavy duty glass and is really beautiful. The stopper fits perfectly and seals it right up. I transferred our sand to this decanter and honestly, it really elevates it and I love it. It looks great on our mantle with everything else. At this price point it was the perfect container for my partners memories.(Would definitely work wonderfully for it's intended purpose as well lol)

I have ordered this product twice now and returned it twice. Each time, the airtight glass stopper was not in the box. The glass decanter itself is beautiful; nice heavy weight and clean lines. But without the glass stopper, it's not functional. So I can only give one star, because the product cannot be used as intended with a missing piece.
