Saved me a bunch of time removing thinset and left over tile from floors. Just wish there were a larger blade than the 9" that I purchased with this item.

I use these for tile demo and they work great. Triggers are the weak spot but can be replaced fairly easy when worn out.

Excellent for small chipping ~ 100 square feetMUCH BETTER, than just getting boschammer chipper, which is mostly designed for hammer-drilling, i used those for repairs and they can't even compare to this one..This makita may say less amps, but it's designed primarily for chipping !!It has three attachments one like a needle to crack open a tile and two "scrapers", which are great, but for areas more than 10 square feet, GET THE SCRAPER !!! you won't be disappointed.GREAT PRODUCT !---> EDIT: when comparing to boschhammer chipper, I meant those small one's which are more like good hammer drill ones. Those BIGGER boschhammers are like killing machines of war. I just used one yesterday to chip up 900 feet. Craazy(but I liked it)

This Makita HK1810 replaces the same model I bought 10 years ago. That was 10 years of hard work and abuse. Never had to repair it until it recently gave out. I use it to chip cement away from PVC pipes. It knocks off the cement without damaging the PVC pipe. Small enough for tight quarters. Yes it does a great job of removing tile too. This is one tough piece of equipment.
