Typical Makita product, works great. Battery lasts long enough to trim all my hedges, and I got a LOT of hedges. Enough power to trim through thicker branches too. So much easier then my old gas, or plug in electric hedge trimmers.

This trimmer is outstanding, easily cuts through 3/4” branches. the 24” length is also handy.This is by far my favourite. A great addition to my LXT line of tools.It’s lightweight, very sharp has many features which speed up the trimming process.Also like all Makita products it’s very well made.I trimmed a substantial number of hedges and my 5 ah battery didn’t use up 1 bar on the meter !!!I highly recommend this trimmer !

I bought this to replace a cheapo Black & Decker trimmer that I've had for years. I wish I would have made the change sooner. This trimmer cuts better, works faster, and the battery lasts longer. I'm admittedly a Makita fanboy, but I think it's safe to say that this trimmer would rival most others on the market, and certainly the ones at a similar price point. I highly recommend it!

If you are already committed to the Makita battery system you won't go wrong with this particular device. It easily trims hedges and small tree branches with very little battery use. Would also terrify muggers probably.

love this, it's so light, makes the job easy. I have no complaints with any of my Makita tools, they are easy to use, batteries last longer then others I've used. Just well made products, wouldn't go with any other brand, if Makita has it.
