The impact wrench combines extended run time and speed control for unmatched fastening performance. It is powered by a Makita-built brushless motor for longer run time. The brushless motor delivers 220 ft.lbs. of Fastening Torque and 370 ft.lbs. of Nut-Busting Torque.
Precise fastening control is achieved through the 4-speed power selection switch, which accounts for a wide range of applications. Three forward and three reverse rotation auto-stop modes offer increased efficiency when fastener is adequately loosened. The full-speed mode function reduces the trigger pull to reach full speed.
The XWT16Z features Makita's Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™), a protective seal inside the tool. It is designed to improve a tool’s operation in harsh conditions by channeling water and dust from key internal components.

Got this to replace a 1/4 female hex drive impact driver for use as an industrial mechanic. Works great! Good balance of size/weight and power. Perfect for my needs.

Purchased this because I was tired of using adapters on my hex drive impact. This definitely has some juice! very nice for lug nuts, anchor bots, and other drilling needs. Makita is a great brand.

Has held up for a few months now as an ag mechanic, takes a beating . Has a lot of torque , which i need in my line of work . Very impressive! I may just stick with Makita for my power tools . I believe Makita is being Modest about their torque numbers , easily does more than 370 breakawayUpdate******After over a year of abuse , hasn’t let me down , it is built very robustly , I have dropped it many times .Does well around oil , grease and dirt .It is also not bulky and I have come to appreciate the “ anti throw bolt across shop” feature. Overall a good product from makita , highly recommended.
