I was assuming that manfrotto has compatible accessories but the screw of the superclamp is a bit higher so it does not go through the hole of this , it only locks in by just tightening

Y fuera de él si dispones de equipo, muy práctico para roscas que no coinciden en el diámetro y ambas son macho, perfecto.

overpriced but no substitute for this quality item from manfrotto. China knock offs in cheap metal with thread inserts are a problem as the inserts and ends get stuck and they are made of unknown metals and probably have lead content which is toxic.

I mainly use the 118 Male Spigot to mount light heads on light stands, clamps and even mic stands (with a 3/8 to 5/8" adapter). It also works in the Super Clamp but lacks the hexagonal nut to keep it from turning if you forget to tighten down. The 118 is exactly the same length as the 037 Short Stud (26mm) and thus allows a ball head to sit flash against the Super Clamp. The 118 is basically a reversible stud and has a 3/8" screw for tripod heads and a 1/4" one flip side for cold shoes and other accessories. Brass is a lot softer than steel and will break if you over-torque. So snug it up but don't muscle it and it will last a very long time.I can never own too many of these little adapters and they've saved me many times when building a rig to hang an extra light, reflector or camera.

The spigot is a simple device that serves an important purpose. After acquiring a couple of extra Norman lamp heads I ordered these so I could leave them screwed into the bottom of the heads all the time instead of switching one plug from one head to another. I can also use these on a couple of my radio triggers. It does what I need it to do without any problems. How could it not be five stars?

Maybe it's me but I couldn't install with zero bubbles. But it looks great

I don't lose these often, but it doesn't hurt to have a few extra spigots in your camera bag when you are setting up lights in a low-lit wedding reception venue. The added bonus of the hole in the middle makes tightening/securing that much easier. Fantastic upgrade to the older version without the holeHighly recommended!!

Four clams and change for a double ended brass bolt. I guess the weather was bad this year in those Sino/Italian bronze vineyards. As with all Manfrotto products these are well made and well finished. I use them for joining magic arms and other photo rigging. Take care; all of these style studs are made of brass or bronze, as these materials are inexpensive to mill, and can be designed so as to be unlikely to unscrew themselves in response to otherwise trivial amounts of vibration. But, they are not steel, and they will break, usually leaving a stub of brass inside a rather more expensive piece of equipment. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN. Observe reasonable weight limits. When possible, rig safeties for expensive equipment. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN.

I bought some swivel holders second hand that came with two of these adapters. One of them had the threads wore down on one end. I bought one here to replace the worn down one. It works well but I'm worried that overtime the threads might wear down like the first one.

Don't skimp on these things. You will pay for it in the future if you do. Manfrotto makes the best ones I've found and always turn to them when I need more. Very well made compared to some of the knock offs I've gotten as part of different kits before.
