I'm happy with the item; the actual color is not pale but is correct according to its website image. Functions as expected; no noted defects so far.

Would recommend. Have previous experience with these music stands and purposely sought them out. Used as a teen in high school and in air cadets—they are constructed well enough for teens. Good, quality build, easy to put together. Love that they come in several colour choices. Weighty and sturdy. Very pleased.

The best stand for the money! Easy to adjust. No knobs to untighten & retighten. Definitely a great, sturdy & fun-colored stand that makes it a joy to practice. I have gotten many compliments on its bright happy color.

Nice, sturdy and fairly lightweight. I love the orange color. I don’t love that the stand doesn’t have arms for holding down sheet music (I knew this before I bought it, but it’s more of an inconvenience than I expected). I do suggest you buy the plastic covers for the feet (which must be ordered separately even though I think they should come with automatically) if you plan to use the stand on wood floors. Easy enough to put together but requires a wrench and screwdriver.

I'm an orange "nut"...Orange car, belt, watch, instrument case, clothes, etc. Was very excited when I saw this orange Manhassett. Have and use black ones, but this one is great!! Marvelous paint job in a great stand

I teach and have wanted a lectern for a long time, but those suckers are expensive! I happened across this when ordering a ukulele last week and couldn't resist. I put it together (piece of cake, and I'm NOT handy), and it is stiff enough to hold my HUGE and HEAVY literature book teacher's edition (which is why I wanted it--I don't want to hold that!). The only problem was that I couldn't afford to buy each of the colors I liked!

Yellow-orange is my favorite color, and when I was pondering buying myself a music stand to aid especially in reading my Kindle with my various disabilities, I was very impressed about what I read about the Manhasset 48 Music Stand. Then I saw the orange one, and pressed that order button! It arrived yesterday, hubby put it together quickly last night, and I also bought the recommended rubber "footsies" for it. I read my Bible reading this morning on my Kindle on it, and OH YES!It is stable but easy to move around. My house is rather dark, and I have learned to use light and bright colors in it. This is wonderful!I found the orange right against the Kindle screen a bit much, so I put some very pretty blue cardstock under the Kindle and around it--easy to do with that great music "ledge"--and that orange with the blue on it--Wow! It's just sitting on there, so I can change it very easily.Hmmmmm, I wonder if I want a yellow one, too? Must be bright yellow-orange, though, none of this lemony yellow color! I'll be keeping my eyes open! This is a WONDERFUL stand!

Having grown up using the black Manhasset stands in orchestras, I was thrilled to find a rainbow of Manhassets. This is the standard bearer of music stands. The color is gorgeous and cheerful. Well done, Manhasset!Assembly time was minimal, Jan 2015 Update: the Manhasset stands are indestructible, as I recall from my orchestra days. This one is the same. My kids have already tried to break it many times, but the stand keeps working perfectly.

My son has just begun violin lessons as part of his school curriculum. We are very fortunate in that our school can provide free loaner instruments for beginning students, however, each family needed to purchase rosin and a music stand for the student's home use.It has been a great many years since my own clarinet lessons, but I remembered disliking the flimsy music stand I used at home as compared with the sturdy stands at school. The moment I saw these Manhasset stands in bright colors, I knew exactly what I would buy for my son's use!Frankly, I avoid buying black clothing because it is depressing and dark, so a heavy black music stand for use in my home was not appealing. To have all the wonderful functionality of a Manhasset 48 stand at home, but in a fun color, is well worth the extra cost over the cheapest folding stands, in my opinion. I did not know the name/style number of the Manhasset 48 when I started shopping for music stands, but it is obviously the same old workhorse of a product that I recall from my childhood (and every concert hall I've seen since) only now available in a color palette that can inspire any artist.I bought bright orange for my little boy, and have already had several faculty members at our school ask about the product since he has been speaking about it so proudly. This product looks much more at home in our light-and-bright painted playroom than a black stand would have done.My husband assembled the stand in about half an hour. He did need to go find some tools in the basement and that generated a bit of grumbling, but it wasn't any kind of extraordinary task. Just be prepared to need at least a couple of specific tools! The powder-coating looks perfect and smooth. The color is quite vibrant and happy. Our family is very pleased with this purchase.
