The full-size 18-key layout and membrane-style key switch technology reduces typing noise, improves response and provides low-profile keystrokes for fast and accurate data entry. A handy backspace key lets you make swift corrections. The asynchronous number-lock function makes it easy to simultaneously input letters from the computer's keyboard and numbers from the keypad. Its USB connection, plug-and-play installation and ultra-slim, lightweight construction make it easy to pack and travel.

If you are using a laptop with no numeric keypad, this external keypad will come in very handy. I have used it for a few weeks without issues of any sort. Inexpensive, lightweight, unobtrusive, rugged. Keys are crisp. Uses one USB connection.

It’s been a year now and the white ink print is kinda fading. It’s the key press is a little choppy, but it’s a good start if you need a 10 key and you work off a laptop. I am always having trouble with the numbers not typing out cause it’s cheapy, but it’s a good start. I would definitely recommend to stay with this and then upgrade to something nicer or better quality. Maybe wireless might be my next step.

Part of the item listing mentions Mac and part does not. The keyboard came with instructions for use with Mac: Plug it in, let the system see it, go through prompts and choose "ANSI", done. The number keys work fine, but (as the instructions state) the function keys do not.So it seems fine for data entry, especially since Mac laptop keyboards never have number pads.In my case, I was hoping for a simple, small, USB-connected, inexpensive keyboard with arrow functions (and maybe a space key and enter key). So this doesn't quite work for what I originally planned, but I'll keep it for what it can do.

The laptop I have does not have separate number keypad. This was a perfect add-on. Plugged into USB port, immediately worked. Easy peasy. Recommend.

I cannot stand having a work laptop with out this style of number pad. I didn’t need anything fancy or Bluetooth, this fit the bill nicely. 100% usb cable function and that’s fine by me.

This gets the job done but is loud and sometimes the keys will stick, even if you don't feel them sticking, you'll see your numbers running across the page out of control. Also the keys do not feel smooth when pressed or like they're making proper contact. It's cheap, but it gets the job done.I'm also having problems with the USB connection not being secure but I'm not sure if that's my laptop's fault or the plug itself.I would definitely get a better model next time.

My new laptop at work did not have a numeric key pad. I do bookkeeping and needed the convenience of the number key pad. This one works perfectly.

The other keys don't work on one computer. The other computer I've tried, the keyboard doesn't even register at all.
