Grain mill is made of stainless steel grinding discs which meets food safety requirements with hygienic powder coating and crank extension. Easy to dismantle for cleaning. Extra large hopper holds approx. 1.3 kg to make fresh and healthy milled grains products easily. Dry raw materials only, wet moisture or oil materials can't be ground.
Extra-large hopper holds approx. 1.3kg.A wooden handle is also included which is positioned on the top of the hopper. This gives a perfect handling during grinding. Thus with a suitable motor, it can be driven very easily via a belt. The large drive wheel/flywheel has a groove that provides space for belt.
COARSE, MEDIUM & FINE GRIND-
COARSE GRIND
A coarse grind is slightly finer than extra coarse and has a consistency resembling kosher salt. The grounds still appear quite chunky and are used for French press, percolators and coffee cupping brewing methods.
MEDIUM GRIND
A medium grind is slightly finer than table salt or close to dry sand and similar in size to a French press grind but less chunky and will feel slightly smoother.
FINE GRIND
Finely ground beans mean the coffee grinds are, well, fine, and packed more closely. Water can take longer to pass through all the grounds and, as a result, extract more of the flavor.

Upon arrival the box was damaged on two corners. That being said it's a beast. Once it off the box the bottom wood had two missing chunks on the corners where dropped. Assembly was easy. This is not for the faint of heart or limbs. Even if you are challenged by grinding. If you keep at it you won't be for long!The front silver knob/disk turns clockwise for finer grind , counter for courser grains. We started just cracking the wheat berries. Then cranked it down to almost the tightest setting. It was more work. Think of what sculpted arms you or your whole family will have! The flour was just as fine as when I used the wondermill. I also have the flour attachment for my Vitamix and it was about the same for all of them.Having a lower surface helped alot. Something as easy as countertop vs lower table helped a lot.

J ai acheter ce produit pour faire ma propre farine pour retenir tout les bons nutriments qui sont dans la grain entier. Va très bien, mais c'est assez long à grinder à la mains. Mais on peut y mettre un moteur électrique. Je recommande ce produit pour ceux qui ne veulent plus dépendre seulement de l electricité.
