I'm pretty impressed with this mic for the price. It has a pretty good sound to it, and as a content creator that's pretty important to me. I normally use an Elgato Wave:3 for all of my livestreaming, content creation, and voice over work, but after trying this mic, I think I actually prefer the sound of it over my Elgato. I also got some feedback from my audience during a livestream that they really liked the sound of this new mic. I've only used it for maybe almost 2 weeks so far, but I've used it exclusively for my livestreaming, online meetings, and for recording a few voice overs and so far I'm very impressed. I also like the flexibility of being able to use it both over USB and XLR (which is a welcome addition over my Elgato Wave:3 which only uses USB), making it more useful in a variety of scenarios.Also, I love that the included USB-C cable has an attached USB-A adapter. One thing to note though, is that the RGB on this mic only works if you have the USB-C plugged in, which is a bit of a bummer, but overall not that big of an issue. Also, while it does have a windscreen on it, I found that it isn't as good at reducing plosives as the pop filter on my Elgato, so keep that in mind (especially for voice acting or voice overs, not as big of an issue for meetings or livestreaming I've found). Overall, I'm really happy with it and am considering switching to this as my daily driver for the next while anyway. If you're on a bit of a budget, I'd highly recommend this mic.NOTE: I can't really speak to the quality of the mic stand as I use an Elgato Mic Arm LP personally, or haven't touched to software that you can use to further adjust the mic even further, these are just my experiences using the mic itself right out of the box.

This microphone has excellent sound quality. I own a couple different USB microphones and this one has the best sound quality of them all. The build quality is nice and solid with no rattling buttons. The buttons/dials themselves are crisp and smooth in their operation. The microphone also looks pretty nice on my desk. The microphone comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable. There is also an included adapter for USB-C to USB-A for folks who don't have USB-C on their computer.I tried the mic both with an USB connection and a XLR connection. I think that most people who purchase this will be using the USB connection. The XLR cable is not included and that is fine with me at this price point as I doubt most people buying this will use XLR anyway. The USB connection provides all of the mics functionality, meaning when connected with USB the RGB lights up, the mute and gain buttons work, etc. With an XLR connection there is no power to light up the microphone's RGB. I suppose you could add some USB power in order to get the RGB to work if that mattered but I think most folks using XLR connections won't care about RGB lights anyway.The sound quality is excellent either way it is connected. The mic is extremely sensitive and does pick up background noise. A little adjustment of either the mics gain knob (USB) or sound card's settings (XLR) is needed in order to get the best sound. This wasn't very hard to get setup. For XLR I bought a cable XLR to 3.5mm cable and connected it into my soundblaster GC7 sound card. After a little fiddling I could not believe the sound quality I was getting. I was quite happy with this setup because of the sound quality and how I could control the level of game sounds and my own voice monitoring in my gaming sessions. With XLR connection the on-board mute button didn't work, but I can now mute the microphone from my sound card's button. For this price you cannot get a better sounding microphone in my opinion no matter how you connect it.As for the boom arm, when I took it out of the box it looked pretty slim and flimsy. But once I had more time to compare it to a more bulky and also budget boom arm that I own, I was satisfied that the included boom arm is indeed pretty sturdy and useful and was actually more sturdy than my more bulky boom arm. To be clear, this isn't comparable to a $100 plus boom arm, but it is good enough for my gaming use and is more than worth the purchase price. Given the quality of the microphone itself the boom arm could also be considered a free bonus item at the price this kit is selling for. The only improvement is that I wish there was some sort of shock mount used on the mic mount but at the price and quality of this microphone I will forgive this.In summary this is an excellent microphone for those that want premium sound quality at a great price. It is also very versatile with its USB and XLR connections. I believe that most folks will use the USB but if they do get into a more complicated setup, they can keep on using this microphone and move on to a XLR connection. At the current selling price it is a great deal. There is currently a coupon as well making this a very good value for anyone looking for a microphone for gaming, podcasting, etc. I would highly recommend this microphone to my friends, family, etc and feel like it is a very good deal for the asking price.

if someone told me a few years ago I could get a usb/xlr combo mic, with rgb, and a high quality boom arm, for under 60 bucks, I'd have laughed at them, maono keep pushing the limits with their new releases and this combo is no exception.for parents looking to buy gear for their kids: stop researching and just buy this. not only does its audio quality perform perfectly for discord, game chat and streaming, but it also looks the part too. any kid would be super happy to have this setup at their battle station. it also offers room to grow with them due to its combo connectivity option. start in USB mode and use the provided software to fine tune to your preferences or pickup a XLR audio interface (like the mano caster neo g1!) for even more control at your fingertips.for streamers, you no longer need to mess around with filters in OBS, setup the mic exactly how you want via the software and let this thing shine on stream, it looks fantastic on camera too!The mic sounds incredible for the price, you're not going to get sm7b levels of audio from this thing, there is some slight noise that needs removing if your serious about audio production but for just about any kid/teen/streamer/podcaster this is 100% the best bang for your buck mic and boom setup you can currently buy.the boom arm is surprisingly well made and bodes confidence, a boom arm of this caliber alone should cost more than 30 bucks, so the value for this bundle is huge IMHO. if I could give this 6 stars I would, the sheer value and quality is through the roof in this price range in 2025!

I was sort of skeptical about a cheaper gaming mic as the last one I tried before didn’t sound too great, but the Maono has a great value proposition, you get a mic arm included which by itself is 20$ of value or more. Along with an intuitive software with a bunch of feature to help with noise rejection and noise reduction.I noticed it picked up very little background noise but be careful it has to be aimed directly at your mouth or it will have trouble picking your voice up. In the software you can configure how aggressive the noise reduction is along with some EQ for some extra control.The mic arm is really similar to a $25 one i purchased a few years ago but with a better clamp that doesn’t pick up as much vibrations from the desk.
