This did not work for our opener. I ended up having to have a tech from the garage door company come out. The tech tried it too and could not get it to work. They gave me a new pin which has shorter prongs.Don’t waste your money, call a marantec contractor to get the right part.

I used this to plug in my Precision Garage Door Opener Pds 4700 external keypad in order to program a new entry code. How to use it: 1) open up the small 3-hole port on the lower left edge of the external key panel, 2) plug in this connector, 3) plug the port on the upper right edge of your remote control to the other side of this connector, 4) On the remote control, press and keep holding the button you want to program, 5) press Enter on the external keypad (while still holding the remote button), 6) type in a 4 digit code you want to use (for example 1, 2, 3, 4), 7) press Enter on the external keypad again, 8) wait for the lights on the external keypad to turn off, 9) release the button on the remote control. The external keypad is now programmed.

It worked like the YouTube video said it would. Our garage door is now reprogrammed.

Before purchasing the programming connector, I first tried the suggestions other reviewers offered -- i.e. use paper clips or wires to connect the two transmitters, but I was unable to make sufficient contact between the transmitters for programming to work. This connector did exactly what I needed ... and, I was also able to program my keypad!Included in the package was not only the programming connector but also instructions, as well as a clip to allow you to attach the transmitter to the visor in your car.

Worked. Would give it 5 stars, but..... doesn't work exactly as stated in the directions. Some "fiddling" is required. It takes more than one try to program a second unit. Mine "caught" on the 3rd try. Directions are incomplete and need to specify that more than one try may be needed to complete programming of a second remote using this device.

This is about as simple a programming device as I have ever seen. Assuming you have a Marantec garage door opener, as a condo building I work on does, you must have at least one of these. Let's say you want to add another remote to the opener:1. Plug the three wire device into the LEFT side of your original opener2. Plug the three wire device into the RIGHT side of your new opener (now the two openers are connected together)3. Push the big oval button on the ORIGINAL opener and hold it4. Push the big oval button on the NEW opener and hold it; it should flash for a few seconds and then show a steady light like the original opener5. Unplug from both openers. You are finished. If the new opener doesn't flash, check the connections to the program pins and make sure good contact is being made. Try again and it should work. I programmed ten of them in a row and the only problem I had was that one of the openers had a bad battery that had to be replaced before it would program properly. This is a must have device for Marantec garage door opener owners. Be sure to check if you are ordering a new opener, because a lot of the time the program pins are included with each new opener. Hint: I put mine in a small plastic baggie and put it on top of the Marantec opener so I could find it when I needed it.
