High quality product that does exactly what it says it will. The build is nice and solid and feels like good quality materials that won't break on you. The only small downside to me is the plastic handle feels a tad cheap but other than that its great. Rolls out pasta so easily and its always perfectly even. I like that you can get different attachments to use with this model for different pasta shapes.

When I opened the box I noted aluminum rollers and cutters. When I rolled/cut there was no pasta sticking to device. This is so much better than my SS device. Using semolina, w/00 flour provides excellent results, w/tender pasta. I will never use straight 00 or straight semolina. Straight semolina has a chewy mouth feel.Get a drying rack to avoid a pile of semi-adhered raw pasta.I scanned the code on box and was provided several informative (entertaining) videos. See photo included with comment. I’m planning to add a drying rack and motor driver for this device.I will buy again.

My countertop didn’t work out for using the clamp but the unit was sturdy enough to use without it. Directions are minimal, so I suggest you find a you tube video to help you especially with taking it apart for cleaning.

We’ve been using a KitchenAid Mixer with pasta attachments for years. We bought this one because we wanted something more portable for the RV. The instructions were clear about making one batch of throwaway pasta to run through each set of rollers to eliminate anything left over from the manufacturing process.Because the handle is taller than the device, I first tried clamping it onto a cutting board, with the clamp and handle overhanging a countertop. It worked, but felt awkward. When I made my real pasta, I just set it on the edge of the counter and, once my pasta was started into the roller, held onto the device with my left hand. This seemed less cumbersome to me.I found that the thickness numbers ran higher than on my KitchenAid (a 9 on this = a KA 6) Also, some pieces of fettuccine didn’t fully separate from their neighbor.Other than those nits, this worked as I had hoped and produced some wonderful fettuccine. I’m very happy that I don’t have to by crappy box pasta when we’re on the road.

The product is awesome and the only thing that was missing that should have been included was a cleaning brush which I purchased on the side but wasn't a deal breaker. Two hints on making your experience with this much better.1. Read the manual2. Watch some videos on the google-tube about using it.If those two fail. Read the manual again. ;-)

This is a good little pasta roller. Works much better than the cheap Chinese machines. Smooth operation, nothing sticks, easy to clean. I have told friends to buy this one

Perfect/ottimo.I have owned 3 pasta machines previously. Two were not inexpensive machines that while they looked in the surface to be identical to those made by Mercato and the other major Italian manufacturer Imperia - they were made in China. Both were difficult to use because the dough stuck to them and both broke after two uses in one case and 4 uses in the other. The metal parts were flimsy and had razor sharp edges that served to catch and chew up the dough passing through the rollers. Truly Chinese rubbish - and neither cheap - also although different "makes" they had a nasty smell of oil.I then bought a Mercato machine for use in our Italian holiday house and never looked back.During lockdown fancying some decent fresh pasta I ordered this Ampia machine. It works like a Rolls Royce. The section to make futtucine and "spaghetti" is built in and not detachable unlike some models by the same manufacturer. This means you cannot slot in other attachments for other shapes but this didn't bother me.The dimensions in the drop down menu on the Amazon order section are not correct. The machine is not anywhere near that big. Look further down in the product description and you will see the correct sizes which are those of a normal domestic machine.Easy to use, no sticking to the rollers, a doddle to dust and wipe clear (I use a paper towel).
