The Marcy Olympic Hex Trap Bar - HTB-6921 is perfect for building stronger back, leg, and shoulder muscles by doing deadlifts, shrugging, and pulling.
The regular and raised handles provide a variety of grips depending on your preference. In addition, both sets of handles are knurled to provide a better grip while lifting.

This hex bar has an awesome lower bar to let you put your plates on without any of the plates touching the floor. It definitely makes life a lot easier. I only have two complaints. The first one is the bar is slightly too wide even for a big person like me. The second one is the metal is not textured and is slippery. You'll need to wear full finger gloves or add some sort of grip tape to help.

All in all, I'm quite happy with this purchase. Decent price and delivered right to my door - can't beat that. However, I do have some criticisms. I find the sleeve ribbing to be too aggressive as it sometimes makes it difficult to slide plates onto the bar. I was also disappointed to find that the bar and handles are 25mm, rather than 28mm, though I suppose that some folks might prefer that.

Too bad I lost the opportunity to return it. The build quality is subpar. One of the edges came bent making it impossible to fully assemble it. I’ll never deal with this brand again.

Great purchase! My wife bought this for me and it's built to last! I'm 6'2" 245lbs and there is plenty of room(width is 22 inches,inside of bar to inside). The welds are heavy-duty and this thing is all welded together in one piece-there's no assembly. The sleeves that hold the plates are machined(not smooth), so the collars(standard chrome squeeze-able type) won't slide at all and plates stay in place. Also, this bar weighs 45lbs, the same as my 7' Olympic bar and the same as my Standard Barbell plates. Lastly, sleeves are plenty long and will hold more 45lb standard-barbell plates then I can ever hoist!

So far no issues. Not sure how it would hold up if you are able load around 350 or more or are rough on your equipment. But for me in my home gym it’s great.

I was initially hesitant to buy this bar, given that there were only 4 reviews, and all came from folks who had gotten the bar for free. But the description of the bar and the accompanying photos were so impressive I decided to move forward, and am glad I did. It was delivered 3 days earlier than expected. The bar is a beautiful piece of equipment, if one can say that about a bar. Really solid, and the chrome really sparkles just like in the pictures. The only negative is that the bar came in a clear plastic bag - no box or bubble wrap. But despite the “packaging” the bar was in pristine condition. No scratches or rust.

This is a great bar. I ordered it for my son who is unable to go to the gym but loves working out at home. This is a great way to train deadlift strength in a way that is safer for his back.The bar is everything you would expect and the knurling is perfect, not too aggressive and feels nice on the hands but also grippy enough even it your hands get a little sweaty.One interesting thing about this bar is that while it hold standard 2” Olympic weights, it seems slightly snugger than our other 2” bars. We do have one errant weight that won’t go on it. (I’m sure the issue is with the weight and not the bar.) It makes for a very solid feel when lifting.Overall very happy with the “Marcy Olympic Hex Trap Bar HTB-6921, Chrome”.
