COWHIDE and LAMBSKIN: 60% Cowhide - 40% Lambskin, you will receive an assortment of different colors (15 to 20 colors), densities, thickness and textures, that will help you a lot to make your leather craft project.
TOTAL SURFACE: If you spread together the scraps on a table you will have from 10 to 12 Square feet, this is a lot of material for your projects.
IMPORTANT: The GENUINE leather is a natural material that could contain little insect bite marks, tone changes, small scratches, etc, but the embossed and printed leather hides all this little marks, so you will use practically the 95% from the leather you will receive. But please keep in mind that these are leather scraps, so a little percentage could contain tone changes, little wrinkles or holes, folds, etc, all of this is completely normal working with authentic leather skins.

Calling this leather is a stretch. It looks like maybe tiny bits of ground up leather that they shaved down and then glued to some sort of cheap, thin, paper backing. This is useless for my purposes. I need actual pieces of leather not a leather-based blend of cheapness. Avoid this product.

As mentioned it definitely smells.I received exactly 10 pieces, under the average and I think under 1.5-2 pounds. One duplicate pattern, so really 9 different. One is very fractured and the smallest of piece quite useless. Disappointed in the weight/ variety of the pack , the options, and overall wouldn't buy again.

The smell is a little funky--'leathery' I don't understand it--but put outside on a perforated metal table in the sun. Funk better already. Used a piece just now as a liner for a holster, perfect thickness. Happy with this purchase. A couple are oddball pieces, but the rest I can certainly use; in fact, waited forever for one piece like these from China, for the same $$.

I typically buy my leather from a retailer and pay considerably more for it. When I saw this, I figured I wouldn’t be out much if it wasn’t as presented. The pieces are a good size for me (I make earrings), the variety was acceptable, not as shown, but usable, but the mildew smell is STRONG!!!! I currently have it in the No heat/air dry cycle in my dryer, with two fabric softeners. Tomorrow I’ll try baking soda. But if I can’t remove the odor, the leather will not be able to be used. I’m not sure what it could be used for, smelling as strong as it does. My husband says it reminds him of being in an old library. Not something I can offer my customers.All of the pieces were snake print. Very muted tones. But again, for the price it is a good deal….. as long as I can get the smell out. Be mindful of the efforts you’ll have to take to do the same.I won’t buy again.

The scraps are hit or miss i think. I was able to cpmpkete a shoe project with what i was given so i am very happy. There was a gold embossed piece i wanted to use, but there was a line running down center. I still have lots left over to use for other projects. Great package to buy, especially if you are using for small projects, do not buy if you need large perfect pieces.

I got my package in the mail and loved the smell and sights of this glorious leather. I immediately got to work making some jewelry. Leather cuffs and earrings. The leather arrived in a neat package with a lot of squares of leather. I made about 3 leather cuffs per smaller sheet of leather. Great product and value!

So I almost never write reviews so I feel pretty strongly about this. First of all the positive: wide selection of colors(mostly snakeprint though) and would have definitely been well worth the money if not for the negative. So I read multiple reviews about an odor associated with the materials, I shrugged it off. I wouldn't advise ignoring this fact. There is an obvious strong mildew smell, I have had them airing on my porch swing for a week and it is STILL noticeable. I would definitely think twice depending on your intended use.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this assortment of leather samples! What a fantastic variety and quality! I could not believe the very nice samples I got! I will order these again and again! Very easy to work with and to make beautiful jewelry! I can't say enough about how excited I was to get these! Got them fast and was so SO delighted! I can make a zillion jewelry items, as the samples are a nice size, and even a couple that were smaller have PLENTY of leather to make things with! One of my FAVORITE all-time Amazon purchases! Was impressed with the cuts. The embossing, leather quality and colors were great for the price paid. And for cricut users the vendor actually lists the thickness of the leather so you know which cut to use immediately. No guessing. I loved that detail.
