I'm 5'9" 175lbs and wear size large t-shirts. I bought a size large and it's like a compression fit. Pictures show a normal fit or "fitted" looked. This was like trying to squeeze into a girdle. Quality is good. Buy a size larger than normal.

I wear an extra large t-shirt and the extra large Mares rash guard fits perfectly. People that have stated in reviews that the sizing is way small don't realize what they are ordering. This is a rashguard not a t-shirt. A rash guard is supposed to fit like a second skin. If it fits loose, you will continue to get rashes. I used to get terrible rashes under my armpits when I wore my wetsuit for any long period of time in the water. I no longer get those rashes since I use this rash guard. The quality is great. The styling and look of the rash guard is spot on. If you're looking to find a t-shirt go somewhere else. If you're looking for a high-quality rash guard that will protect your body from rashes and chafing go no farther. This product delivers 100%. I paid for this product and was given any incentive to write this review. I wrote this review because I felt people needed to know what the product was and also the quality of it.

Ware passt bei XXL meiner Person mit 198cm größe und 105kg perfekt. Das Material fühlt sich angenehmauf der Haut an, Ärmel wie abgebildet sehr lang und bequem am Hals.

Great swim shirt! Use it to protect myself from sun exposure while swimming laps. As I swim outdoors year round in California it also gives me some warmth during the winter months. Yes, we do get cold in Northern California. Also is great under a wet suit while scuba diving for the extra warmth. This is my second Mares rash guard. First one lasted several years. Finally got a bit stretched out. Important to rinse in cold water after each use in a chlorinated pool. Also should not be dried in direct sunlight as it breaks down the materiel.

Very good quality; Relatively pleasant on the skin (as much as synthetic can be); Excellent sun protection - we (family of 4) wore them for two weeks in tropical sun in May-June (high UV factor) without sunburns; Enables people to enjoy long exposure and activities in the water without worries about sunburn and without need to re-apply sunscreen (that wears off in the water); Easy to wash; Gets dry fast.

Great value for a snorkelling shirt. I purchased this for my son to go on a cruise and was really glad to have been able to find it off season, and at a good price. I love Amazon!

Fits well and durable. Basically wore this all summer under my PFD. On the water 2-3 times per week. Usually just took it off and hung over tub till next use, but many times threw in washer [non-agitating] then hang to dry. I like it because it takes a "little" chill of the water on early days, but is still not TOO hot on 90 degree days, and feels much better than no shirt at all. I'm 6'2 and skinny 170lbs and XL fit me perfect. Bought an ONeil XL and had to return it due to being too small. Mares has their sizing right.

I bought two rash guards for snorkeling in the Virgin Islands. Since I knew I'd be in the sun a lot I also bought one with long sleeves. The other one was from a different manufacturer and didn't fit nearly as well. A lot of people have commented on the fit. This fits snug in and out of the water, like a rash guard should. A tight fitting rash guard provides some warmth in the water and there's less friction as you move through the water. If you want a snug fit in the water then buy the size you usually get, but if you want a looser fitting shirt that will protect you from the sun out of the water buy a size larger. If you buy a looser shirt keep in mind that the looser shirt won't be as comfortable in the water.

Got this for my husband for an upcoming trip to Tahiti where we will spend a lot of time snorkeling and in the water in general. He wore it to the beach this summer to try it out and really liked it. It looks great on him but be warned: it is a very snug fitting design. My husband is 5'8" and weighs about 168 pounds and usually wears a medium or large size shirt. I got the XL because of other reviews and it was still like a second skin. It looks great though, and that's part of the design of a rash guard like this as opposed to one that might be worn more as a cover up.

I have to confess, as a newbie diver, I'm sure most rashies are fairly comparable. But the real reason I gave such a high rating was the fact that this particular item was "Fulfilled by Amazon" - something I was unfamiliar and unaware of. All to say, I was going to Indonesia to scuba dive and wanted to have one to wear under my shorty wetsuit. I had less than a week to go before I flew out (Dec 14) and being so close to Christmas shipping rush, this "Canada based fulfillment" came quite in handy, as I ordered and received my shirt almost the NEXT day. Having Amazon Canada house some items in a warehouse in Mississauga (as explained to me by Amazon Customer Service) made a huge impact in how fast I got it. I live in Toronto (just to be totally transparent).As for the product, the shirt was fantastic. Very comfortable and quick drying on the boat, between dives. It also protected me from the really hot sun and not burning. It made for slipping into and out of my wetsuit convenient as well.As for brands, I've heard great things from the dive shop and the divemasters about Mares, especially their fins. This shop, on the remote Island of Gili Trawangan even stocked almost only Mares, so that had to say something.I'd reccommend this rashie for the price, as others I saw in stores was 20-30 dollars more if not double what I paid!Fulfilled by Amazon for the win!! Thanks Amazon, you made a believer out of me.

My rash guard just arrived today, so of course I had to try it on to see how it fit. Fortunately, it fits perfectly. Yes. It's quite tight, but that's the point. Seller made a quick shipment, delivery was fine. I will update, should there be a need, but as of now, this is a great skin at a great price.
