The protector is thin, not cumbersome and yet provides excellent additional protection and padding for the index and middle fingers inside the glove or mitt.

The finger pieces are just leather with no padding. Did not relieve any sting so I returned it.

you have probably seen some other hand protection products, they are smaller and offer less protection, good value, good protection
