I bought this for my elderly mother who has mobility and balance issues. It’s basically worthless. No matter what I try and use to wrap around it for wiping will not stay put and falls right out.Even if it did stay put the push button release is so difficult and cumbersome she’d never be able to get it to release.

I don’t really care for the shape but I never had to use it ( I had a greater range of motion than expected after my surgery than I expected).

I bought this because I had a posterior approach hip replacement in 2022. They were very clear about not having me lean too far forward so that I wouldn’t displace the hip socket until the capsule matured. I found this device to be a little awkward but certainly better than almost anything else that I was able to do at the time. It worked well enough that I kept it and lent it to a friend who used it for his hip replacement. I’m now using it after having spine surgery and I need to have similar precautions about not leaning too far forward. I found out, if I took three sheets of toilet paper folded in half and then tucked the ends into the little recess that seemed to work the best for me. That way I could clean myself and then hit the little plunger button in the toilet paper would fall out. This works particularly well if you have a handheld bidet to use for the initial cleaning and then use this for the finish work. I was glad that I kept this around so that I am able to use it now for the next six weeks while I’m on spine precautions. I would recommend buying this prior to your surgery and practicing several times to get the hang of it.

I am so glad I found this tool! It has improved my life beyond my expectations! It took a tiny bit of trial and error, but, once I figured it out, I was thrilled! I plan to purchase another one to pack with our camping supplies. I highly recommend this for people with reach issues!

Took a chance even though reviews were marginal & mixed . My experience find a alternative. Concept has merit ,unfortunately, this unit doesn’t

This aid is very strong. It is easy to attach the toilet paper, if you use the technique several reviewers have mentioned; wrapping several layers around the head rather than bunching it up into a ball. The head is shaped very well to help cleaning, and holds the toilet paper well. In fact, it is better than the higher priced aid I also bought at the same time. The only difficulty might be in how the release works for dropping the toilet paper. Be sure you can push with one or both hands. Some folks with hand or joint issues might prefer a squeeze release style aid. That higher priced aid I mentioned has a squeeze release that works better for my wife, who has 'King Arthur' in her hands.

I had a major back surgery and couldn't bend, twist, turn, or lift. This product helped me to have the privacy and independence to us the restroom alone. It is curves enough to do what its suppose to. It is easier to use with wipes but will work ok with toilet paper you just have to use a little more than you normally would to wrap it. I would recomend it to anyone in need of this type of item.
