I found the part to push the hinge pin out to be useless. That part was just too big for the pins in my doors. However, once I used something else to push the pin up, I found the part that is place on the head of the pin very useful. It worked like a charm within scaring the door or trim.

My previous hinge puller was made mostly of plastic and eventually broke. I started researching a replacement and found the Marshalltown hinge pen remover and another one that also looked good. I decided on the marshalltown and am glad I did. It is very solid and can take a beating when trying to remove a hinge barrel that doesn’t want to be removed. Theres no signs of wear or potential failure so I really do think it will last a long long time. And it quite easy to use.

I was expecting the pin that pushed the hinge pin in or out is only a hollow spit pin. I went back to look at the details in the advertisement and low and behold it’s hollow…The part that will take the most battering is the weakest… how disappointing and a tip … don’t place orders at 9pm !!!!

I haven't used this yet, but it is a solid tool and should work well. I don't remove doors often so this is something I will use only occasionally. But it is the quality I appreciate. Happy with my purchase.

Previously I tried to use a flat screwdriver like we all must known or used a 5 in One tool to remove pins from doors slabs for many yrs but Finally this exelent tool came out and make my day easier and work performance like a Pro, I realize now that I don't have to pick up each pin from the floor every time it has been removed or missed placed Believe me I'm very picky person regarding on my work tast so I'm sure if I don't make a mistake I'll be trusting to not return to fix my own work, l'll just waiting for a great reviews that's why I personally took the time and share my personal opinion about this product it's GREAT. I'll be interest to buy a second one. I recommend to be patient if you never used it before; I encourage you get used to knowing the product before throwing a negative reviews. The roll pin is too short for the tool to be used on many hinges in my home where the hinge pin does not extend to the bottom of the hinge.
