I don't believe it's stainless steal it dyes my dog's white fur black.Where the choker portion is.

Collar works as should but chain stains dogs fur grey/black so you cannot keep this on you must remove after use.

The color is great and so far I haven't had any problems with the collar. But day three into using the leash the clasp broke on it. That's why I only gave it a three star. three days and only half of what I paid for works. We will see what happens.
