I was hesitant to pay so much for a single mug, but I am so glad I did. This thing is extremely nice. The walls are very thick; it holds in heat very well. It's not made from any old ceramic, it's actually made of porcelain. The style and color are just the right amount of coffee shop vibe without being too pretentious. This is now the nicest cup in my house and I love using it every day. It's a simple joy, really.

This is one of the fanciest coffee mugs I've ever used. It's super high quality and has a nice weight to it. The small plate is a nice extra, but I rarely use it over just a regular coaster. This is now my go-to mug for lattes. 10oz is plenty for me, and its shape is great for latte art.

The quality of this is really lovely. It's built in a way where I saw no imperfections, and the weight of it in the hand is very satisfying. It is a heavier mug, and I found that because of it's thickness it kept my coffee warmer for longer.I'm tempted to get a full set!

I despise coffee mugs, so I have a wide selection of cups-and-saucers. This stoneware set is really beautiful to look at, and very substantial in hand. The lip of the cup is smooth, wide, and curved to give great mouthfeel. The size is just right for the amount of coffee I can drink before it gets too cool. And I can toss in it the dishwasher, always a bonus.Overall this was a great addition to my collection of everyday coffee (and tea) cups. And it would a lovely component of a gift basket for a coffee/tea drinker. But I wouldn't normally splurge thirty bucks on one cup/saucer, especially since it's made of stoneware and I without fail always manage to chip and break this type of ceramic.NOTE: This cup is quite heavy to begin with, more so when it's full of liquid. Something to consider if you have weak wrists, arthritis, or grip strength concerns.
