I took a chance on this universal roof rack but it was a miss for me as it's about 4 inches too long and doesn't fit. Otherwise the rack is sturdy and the locking mechanism seems strong. You will have a little issue with the release as the ratcheting system is not the best on the release so you will have to go slowly and find that sweet spot. Planning to get a shorter version or do a modification to this one. But try and find a measurement chart for universal racks as the shape of the car's roof makes a big difference. Found out the hard way. 😆

Can I just get 1 of mount replace because it was in half when opening the box, I tried to glue it because I was excited to install the rack.

Amazing, round trip for around 3200 km and worked as expected in a Tucson 2016. Minimum noice if placed correctly.I store them in the garage after use, planning to have another trip in Summer!

Besides the ratcheting system being somewhat challenging to adjust, its a good non-permanent solution. The feet that sit on the roof are plastic. Aluminum or cast would make it sturdier and stronger. Noise is as expected without a wind deflector.

This roof rack went together ok and mounted well enough but if you need strength and durability maybe you should spend more money. My intentions were to have a rack part time and be able to remove when not using so it's what i needed. A lightweight kayak for short trips works great, but if you need heavy duty and for long trips or everyday use i reccomend a sturdier more permanent Rack. This unit was inexpensive and mounts or comes off with just a few minutes work, its what i wanted. Be sure and study the add for fitment, it gives you measurements. Good deal for the money.
