Overall good quality steering box. Very close match to oem quality. No leaks and very smooth operation. Fit and finish pretty nice and good quality casting on the material. Good coating on the box as well. Overall pretty happy with it.

This is a Saginaw 800 steering box replica.It has a 4-1/2 turn lock to lock, 16:1 ratio,13/16-36spline input shaft, 1-3/16-32spline output shaft.Fluid ports are listed as 5/8-18 and 11/16-18. If you look deep down into the hose ports you can see that the fluid holes are drilled just off center from the threaded fitting holes. I don't know if that is nomal, and it wierds me out a little, but I can't see a reason why they wouldn't work. Maybe those inner holes have to be drilled at an angle, I don't know. I am going to have to adapt it to AN hoses anyways but thought that was worth mentioning.i can't comment at this time about performance, feel, or potential leaks because it is installed in an ongoing project car, a 69 pontiac that had manual steering and drum brakes but is being modded with upgrades and a 6.0L El Esswapo.And this steering box looks to be identical to those being sold by catalog companies as an "all-new!" Saginaw 800s for early GM A-Bodies.Anyway, I Hope My Review And Pictures Were Helpful To You !!
