This is the type of blanket I always buy. I always get this brand. This time it was a little smaller. I would say a quarter of an inch or less.

I was looking for a thin, lightweight, attractive saddle blanket to dress up my fleece pad. Most 100% wool pads are much thicker and heavier than this, which is a blend of less expensive materials. I won’t be using it for heavy work so I am less concerned about breathability, where someone might like all natural fibers in that case. It’s very pretty and appears well made. A nice, inexpensive option that was exactly what I was looking for. It weighs maybe a touch over 2 pounds. I would say the color is more brown/black than tan black.

Loved this so much I ordered a second one. I stitched them together and used them as a cover for my leather sofa which had some damage on one of the seats. Very well made and softer than I expected.

This is NOT a wool blanket as advertised. It is "Recycled Textile Fiber" and very light weight. Wanted wool for it's durability and long life... not sure what to expect with the fabric that is in this blanket.

Absolutely love this blanket. It matches my reins and is a perfect size to fit over my built up saddle pad. Beautiful color and Worth the money!

nice design, but the blue made my palomino colored horse blue too when he got sweated up.
