This is a hard to find item and worth the purchase!

The 24 inch size is handy for many uses. Use as a ruler or level.I really like the centering feature. Place the level on the surface, adjust until the ruler measurements at the outside edges read the same on both sides, then find your centerline at the zero mark. Simple and nothing to break!

This is a solid purchase for me as I needed a tool like this for drawing. I considered only using dividers and those work fine for measuring distance, but this is a quick way to ensure both eyes are level and match the ear tops… and so forth. I’m sure it’s great for woodwork but someone else will have to speak to that end. If I could improve on them for my own uses they would be transparent but that probably won’t be a consideration for manufacture and I’m not holding my breath on it. What needs to happen is someone should make something like this for artist works and if made transparently would be perfect.

Depending on your angle, bubble is a little hard to see. But for the money, it’s adequate for around the house.

After a long search I was very happy to find this 2ft level. I have a 4ft version of it made by Empire that I use mostly to hang pictures. They are good for hanging blinds too.The back on these levels are nice and flat allowing the placement of thin dots of felt on the back to protect painted walls. It's hard to adhere any felt or other soft protection to traditional carpenters levels to prevent them from leaving a mark on a wall. My 4ft was difficult to use at times due to it's length, so this 2ft one is greatly welcomed. It's a tad pricey, but as far as I can tell it's the only one on the market less than 4ft, so I latched on it. It's good quality and like my 4ft one it should last for many years. I just wish I had come across it a long time ago.I would definitely buy it again.

There are two models of this level:Black ($29 CDN) and Yellow ($27 CDN)....(approximate prices)Both versions have 'magnetic' in the title, however only the black version confirms '15 square inch magnetic area'.I purchased the yellow version assuming it was magnetic. It most definitely is NOT.The standard measurement markings are in fact accurate, which some other reviews claimed they were not. One even had pictures of metric markings not consistent with a picture of a meteic tape along side. There are no metric markings at all on my yellow version, which is not necessary for my usage. All in all, I like this light weight, easy to use level 'ruler', but loses a star for not being magnetic as listed in the title. Also it is not completely rigid flatwise, this will bend slightly with the surface it rests on, curving with the surface, as opposed to conventional levels that would 'rock' over humps or gap over dips.

Great ruler! I was expecting a cheap one time use ruler at this price point. For the project I am working on, I needed a 48” ruler with a leveler. I was concerned the leveler would stick out of the bottom. It does not. I purchased this one based on other positive reviews. Great quality and it is definitely saving time on the project.

Doesn’t scratch painted walls light weight but still extremely sturdy you no longer have to hold a level and ruler when marking locations( perfect for ladder work ) it’s imperial measurements on each side side @ 24 inches is 0 counts lef and right for center measurements with out calculations and visually easy to adjust to find center NO More dividing he distance to find the center and recheck your calculations to make sure you’re correct ( especially when fractions are involved ) or rechecking left and right to insure that your centered

This is a great layout tool. I own the 48" version as well but the one I have is less accurate than my 24". I use these professionally for wall layout for artwork in museums. There's a "0" center and imperial scale markings outward from center to each end going from 1 to 12 on one edge and an imperial scale from end to end having 24inch markings. Both scales have fractions of 1/16" as the smallest scale markings. I only wish there was a metric centering scale printed on the tool as well as it is obviously designed for wall layout. The markings are printed and hold up well. The tool is very light weight and the material is great for placing on white paint without leaving any grey marks the way an aluminum tool would. The tool is 7/16" thick, 2" wide and 24" long. If you place the level flat to the surface, the markings face you for easy reading. The edges that the scales are printed on are beveled toward the back of the tool which places the markings close to the surface that the tool is placed on which makes it easy to accurately make layout marks on the surface with a pencil. I hope this review is helpful.
