These bells produce a pleasant jingle. The sheer number of them provides a volume that you can hear amid ambient sound. The velour onto which they are mounted is very attractive and soft. The weakest component: the cotton attachment strings which have unsecured (ready to unravel) ends. With some effort you can secure these. I have mounted these bells to my djembe by tying them to its tuning strings. This makes for pleasant high notes from the vibrations created by striking the drum. I like this so much, I'm ordering another pair of these lovely bells.
