i got this because i didnt want to buy another controller for my Switch. as it turns out... it can also use Switch/Xbox controllers on my PS5 and PS5 controllers on my Switch/xbox... you get the idea. a lifesaver for sure.my only complaint is that its not plug in play as is. you have to plug it into a pc first and then go to the manufacturers website and download the firmware update. that vital part was very unclear.

Allows full functionality of a original PS3 controller when using a dualsense on PS3. It's even able to read the charge level of the controller.Only caveat is you can't adjust the vibration so some games just use full power vibration when its supposed to use the small motor. Also, you can't turn off the controller or wake the console (that one I'm okay with tho).Add those features and it'd be an easy 10/10.

Anyone lucky enough to have had PS3, 4, and 5 will know that the controllers have got progressively better and more comfortable. And you will also, know that while PS3 still played PS1 and 2 games whereas 4 cannot. So here I am in 2024 still using my PS3 with the not-very-nice-compared-to-the-PS5 controller to access some old and favourite games. This device lets me use a PS5 controller with PS3. It plugs in to a USB and just works. There is no other workaround that I can find to use a more modern controller with PS3.Recommended.

Madcatz Fightstick Pro, it’s an Xbox 360 stick with the breakaway ps2 to usb dongles, plug in when the Xbox button on the stick flashes press it, boom the stick was recognized at plays great, admittedly needs more time but SF 5 arcade was smooth no issues busting out ryu combos

I'm sure it's a great product and It should work on Native PS4 games. I updated my fight stick back in the day and I love it (all Sanwa Pro Components). I can play Street Fighter 5 with it. I could not get it to work on Street Fighter 6(SF6) with my PS4 Pro. Even though I can play on my PS4, I think Sony classifies SF6 as a PS5 game. Brooks makes a converter that will make my fight stick work with a PS5. Unless someone else has a solution, I would not buy this for SF6 on a PS4.

Whatever people bought this for, be it to use the DualSense on their Series X (which is laughable after the debacle with "authorized controllers) or whatever, I am writing this review after discovering that if you have a CECHA01 or a CECHB01 PS3 (for those who want a more English-sounding answer, the models of the PS3 with the Emotion Engine inside and full PS2 BC) it will NOT work with PS2 games if you're using the DualSense. Also, it doesn't seem like the Home button or pushing/tapping the touchpad does anything to bring up the Home menu. Which means you have to use a PS3 controller...which goes against the whole point.Mind you, this is me not plugging the Brook Converter into a PC and seeing if it needs updates or anything like some devices do nowadays.Either way, if you're buying this to use your DS5 with the PS3 and probably the DS4 as well as part of my hypothesis, then I'd stay away from this converter and try to wade your way through the eBay marketplace of OEM controllers poorly maintained by people who shouldn't be using tech in any way, shape, or form.
