Our story began in 1969 when Dr. Robert F. McDavid Jr., the company's namesake and founder emeritus, created the first widely used protective knee brace for football. After a period of grass-roots growth, a company incorporated as McDavid Knee Guard in 1980.

Bought for box lacrosse. They have good protection but my child complains about the tightness of the waistband. If he went up a size they would probably be too big. He's a tall skinny kid.

My 10 year old daughter was looking for additional protection for her thighs under her goalie pads, and these did the trick. They are not too bulky and work great. She's an average sized girls who can wear med/large girls sizes and the large is perfect. Not too big but also has enough room for her to grow and be comfortable.

Size chart is spot on. The color is good ( doesn’t show thru the football pants ), and the pads are nice. Can’t say how they wash or hold up, too soon to tell.

My son likes this girdle and I like the price. Fits well and padding is adequate. The thigh pads have held up well but they aren’t hard plastic and if you squeezed them hard they could break. Feels a bit like foam core but more durable. Also the thigh pads aren’t front and center on the thigh they are a bit to the sides. My son likes them and they’ve held up to the wash as well but I wouldn’t dry them. so far no complaints. Nice value McDavid!!

These were great. My son said they were comfortable, plenty of padding, easy to clean, and held up to a whole season worth of practices and games while still looking brand new. I'll buy him the next size up of this same brand next year.

MY son likes these. Price is half of the "name" brand. Good product and is holding up 5 weeks in. Bought two pairs, always washing and rotating. This is a good product at an excellent price

For very well. Good padding and is well made. Sizing seemed to be spot on for my son. No complaints about comfort either.
