I tried shrinking these at the recommended temperature (~250F) and they took forever to shrink. They also specifically say not to concentrate the heat in one area, but that was the only way I could get it to shrink in a reasonable amount of time.

You get what is advertised when you buy these. They're plastic ends that shrink when you heat them. If that's what you want, you'll be pleased. There’s a little bit of inconsistency with the appearance of the caps, they aren't perfectly uniform but it's just visual and not a big deal. They also seem to have a fairly small range for heat. I was using just a normal heat gun and by the time one part was shrinking the other side was starting to look glassy like it was actually melting. Again, not a big deal in most cases, just something to look out for.

Works well. Make sure you buy oversized. 10mm cap for 8mm rope ends. Heat over the stove or with a torch slowly and run under cold water to set.

Not a stretchable product like a wire wrap or handle wrap type. I couldnt fit them where i wanted to apply them. So i cant speak on the shrink effect. I will hold onto them, im sure i will use some day

Not the size as described and did not fit my application, much too small. Returned with no hassles.
