The snaps line up perfectly (in fact, the tape comes pre-snapped).I've never used snap tape before. It was really easy to sew (I sew everything by hand).Once you cut off the desired amount for your project, you will have to sew the cut ends a bit just to prevent fraying, before sewing it onto the garment or whatever you're sewing it onto. It doesn't fray right when you cut it, but starts to fray a little bit as you're sewing. But it's just the ends of it, the part where you cut it, that will fray; the uncut parts (i.e., the side edges of the tape) don't fray at all. But I assume that is true for all snap tape.I've been wanting to buy something like this for years since sewing individual snaps is time consuming and not very easy. But it was always too expensive. This was a great deal. I'm very happy with it for my purposes.

Some of the snaps came broken off. I had to piece the length due to broken snaps.

Some of the snaps did not line up or would not snap. Waste of money. Will replace with a metal strip of snaps

These snaps are very easy to sew. I’ve used them for a duvet cover, and even though there are lots of snaps, they hold the fabric together with just every other/3 snapped.
