You probably don't want this model. The adapter has almost no insulation to prevent a short when installed, does not include installation screws, but the real deal killer is the continual crashes in FreeBSD and Windows 11.

Buy a set of screws for the case. Also, if your M.2 connection is directly on a board, you’ll need washers underneath the screw to prevent the pins from hitting the board and shorting out. It needs just the slightest angle.4-stars because it’s Realtek not Intel. And because it’s $20 when it should really be about $10.

Used in an Optiplex 3000 TC. Only reason for 4 stars and not 5; no screws were included to attach the interface to the case. Looking closer, the description does say to use "use the screw or latch provided with your computer case to secure the network card in place". For someone like myself that is putting this into what was an empty spot... there were no available screws. But as a nerd, I had ton of screws that could be used for this.

Got this to turn an OptiPlex 7060 MFF into an OPNsense firewall. It's up and running nicely. The part fit as expected in the appropriate M.2 slot. I've seen a couple of reviews saying you'll need washers or electrical tape; that will only be if you're attaching it with a single screw. The M.2 hold-down screws are normally not just a single screw. It is usually a tiny 'screw within a screw' which acts as the spacer that keeps it off the main board. Sadly, as mentioned by others, this network card does not come with the screws for the RJ45 end, but I was able to use a couple randoms I had lying around. Thank you to other reviewers for alerting me to this before I purchased.Note: For my build, I had to turn the onboard wifi 'on' in the BIOS. If you plug it in and it's not working, maybe this is the issue.

UPDATE:Has been running in my OPNsense box for over a month now without issue.Original:Recognized by Dell Wyse 5070 USFF (BIOS 1.27) in the wireless card slot and also by OPNsense 24.7. Note that you need to turn on wi-fi in the 5070's BIOS. Pretty lame that it didn't come with the mounting screw but I knew that from prior reviews.

Purchased to build an opnsense transparent filtering bridge using a Dell Optiplex 3050. As someone mentioned before I'd make sure there's space between other components by using washers and electrical tape to prevent a short. Didn't come with screws. I used motherboard screws and they hold just fine.
