Susanna's Meditation Love is more of a return to her jazz, pop and folk sound before the three albums where she interpreted Baudelaire's poetry with an often minimal and cold but austere sound. Her voice is as beautiful as ever and the music takes on a range of tones, rhythms and percussion effects but without ever reaching a tempo that you could easily tap your foot to. It's serious and poetic (the Scandinavians do this so well) and does require a bit of effort to engage with, but when you do, it is a rewarding listen.

Always interesting and always with brilliant musicians Susanna displays her sometimes uneasy listening beautifully here. Just wish she would come back to the UK soon !
