Your cart is empty.Medium Duty AwlThis stainless steel awl has a curved head so that it will fit comfortably in the palm of your hand. The thin point makes small holes for stitch binding your hand made books. The ridged handle helps you to get a good grip on the awl as you are making your holes. This sharp tipped tool is also ideal for use as an etching needle!

I’ve had this awl for a about a month now, it does the job well in getting those signatures/sections pierced along with a cradle i made. When i first ordered, i was expecting/wanted the awl without a hook.. but i ended up receiving the one with a hook. There is no option to choose one.The awl without a hook seems to be much thinner of a tapered point, reason i wanted that. You can always make a hole bigger, not smaller.. so that’s why i wanted the finer one without a hook. And since they are stainless steel, they are bound to last a long time.I paid $17.98 and shortly after it dropped down to $14.84.I am well past my return window, being busy and all..So, since i did not receive the one i wanted, and paid a little extra.. i’ll give 2 stars.

I love the loop on the end that doesn’t hurt my hand when I push to make holes for signatures in my junk journals. Also, it’s very sturdy and the tip can make a small or large hole. Recommend highly

This is a good awl. I bought it for paper crafting. It's nice and sharp, not too big, and the tip can actually get the SIM card out of your phone. You really can't waste your money on this. If it doesn't work for the exact task you have in mind, you will use it for something else.

I like the shape and feel of this tool, but when it arrived the tip was bent all the way over so I never got to use it. I ended up ordering a different awl that came in a more protective cardboard packaging and also has a nice hard plastic cap (similar to x-acto). Lineco should consider better packaging for such a fragile item.

This was the type of awl a local library used in their bookbinding class. Perfect for the thin paper pamphlets we made as well as the thick Japanese stab binding booklets.

I was watching a tutorial online, and the instructor pointed out a number of awls and this one caught my eye because I was looking for an awl with a very fine tapered point I could use when doing fine wire weaving. This is the perfect tool for my needs!

I use this awl for my chain maille and bead making! Have it at my station at all times.Couldn't work without it. It's well made, sharp as all get out and has some weight to it that helpswhen I need that feature. Highly recommend!
