About this item

  • Weather resistant premium fiberglass body — molded to the classic gourd shape, the extraordinarily durable and weather resistant premium fiberglass body responds with a low undertone that adds a subtle deep sustain underneath your shekere playing patterns
  • Adjustable beaded net — made with 100% synthetic beads, the net gives you the classic shekere sound with a raspy attack note that can easily cut through in any setting — the tension of the net is adjustable for tight or loose sounds
  • Get a variety of different effects — experiment with getting different sounds by shaking the instrument, tapping on the beaded net or combining a shaking motion with palm hits on the bottom end of the body for more low-end

This shekere is a serious instrument -- not a toy. It is beautiful to behold and makes some serious sound. Now I just need to learn the nuances of playing it.

Nicely made, sturdy. Sounds great once you get the hang of it. I play with a large drum troop, and needed something to punch through, this fits the bill. Gives you a nice workout.

This shekere has great sound and volume. It's quite easy to play a whole variety of sound patterns on it. It also looks hot.
