This product is a short sleeve chefs coat with a diagonal zipper and collar snap. The zipper is hidden, as is the collar snap. The material is medium thickness polyester cotton blend. The product comes with a cloth storage bag.I ordered the white version in size large and it was a good choice. I do not work in a restaurant but I make dinner every night for my growing and hungry family of five. Meals range from simple to elaborate and I have noticed my sweatshirts tend to get stained in the process. I purchased a high-quality made in USA apron with cross-your-back shoulder straps. The apron works fine but the issue is it takes too long to put it on and then find the straps and clip them. The chefs coat is a superior solution because I simply pull it over my head like a sweatshirt, zip it and snap the collar and I am ready to cook. I love it! It is faster to get into, and it looks sharp and definitely has elevated the respect I receive in the kitchen. I am glad I ordered it and look forward to using it for many years.

These are the kind of chef's coats you expect to see on Executive Chefs in ultra haut cuisine Michelin star restaurants. Or... On YOU! After all, great cooking deserves great details, and if you know your way around a kitchen, you deserve one of these distinguishing chef coats! BUT!If you work in a not-so-haut HOT kitchen, you might just want to order a white chef's coat that reflects heat. Either way, to paraphrase an old TV commercial, "Buy it. You'll like it!" FULL DISCLOSUREIf you can say, " Sous Vide" you are a chef! Here's my very own "faux" prime rib recipe:Ingredients: 1 six pound New Zealand Wagyu beef chuck roast Generous distribution of red Himalayan sea salt flakes over exterior of roast. (remember oversalting is not desteable!)Method: Truss roast with butcher twine, re-wrap in butcher paper and refrigerate overnight. Seal roast in standard Cryovac sous vide manner and place in sous vide circulator bath set at 140F for 10* hours. Remove from sous vide container and allow to cool to room temperature in the bag. Do not be alarmed as this will produce approximately 3 cups of juice within the bag which is exaxtly what the French call "jus", as in "au jus". When cooled, cut small corner from sous vide bag and drain juice into a large container. Set aside. If desired, roast may be seared in a 450F convection oven to produce a crust. Do not sear with a chef's torch as the taste of butane lingers. Remove truss string and slice to approximately 1 inch thick "prime rib" slices.Serve with your choice of accompinaments such as baked potates, asparagus spears, au jus, and of course the classic horse radish sauce. And individual baguettes of Frech Bread for dippng are a must! Bon Appetite!* While this does render the roast a tad over Medium Rare it produces a succulant FOOD SAFE result.

This is a nice-looking chef's coat with some great features, the main one being that it's waterproof. I've never heard of a waterproof chef's coat before, but I'll be putting it to the test often. One downside is the zipper closure. It can be difficult to take on and off, and sometimes it just doesn't work. I do like the mesh sides, though. They make the coat breathe and cool you down instead of making you hotter. Based on the size chart, I ordered a medium, and it fits very nicely. I usually don't like logos on work clothes, but this one is so small and inconspicuous that I didn't mind it.

This is not just another Chef Apron/coat, this is a beautifully fitted uniform top.The product came in a water proof storage bag. It is a short sleeve coat with a snap close to the collar and a diagonal zipper. There are pockets on both sleeves. The material is a sturdy polyester and cotton blend where the chest and sleeve materials differ from the left and right undersides—very stylish.I ordered the black version mostly because I’d prefer to not wash as often. I also ordered it one size larger because it is short sleeve and in the winter time, I’ll use it with a heavier long sleeved top. I’m a home cook and the meals I prepare range from simple to, at times, invested labor of love. My wife would make fun of me because of how I routinely spoil my clothes with food stains. I admit it, I have a habit of wiping my hands across my chest. I normally wear aprons when I cook but putting an apron together can be tedious with the straps. This coat is a wonderful solution. In addition, as odd as this sounds, this stylish chef coat does bring out that extra spark in me. I’ve always felt putting on the right outfit, gives that mental edge to do whatever need to be done our best effort. This item dresses you to cook!Highly recommended as a gift for chef or home cook.

I don't claim to be a Chef, but I am a Baker. I bake Soft Pretzels every weekend. This past weekend I wore this Chef's Coat literally from 5 am until 5 pm both days. It fit perfectly and was amazingly comfortable. The waterproof aspect of it was very convenient when spraying and washing our sheet pans. The material of the coat is difficult to describe. It is not light weight, nor is it heavy. It is quality. It breathes and is flexible where it needs to be. I am planning to outfit our other kitchen staff with these coats. Not to be political, but when I saw that they are made in Ukraine, it made me proud to be supporting their economy in some small way.
