I enjoy the overall look and aesthetic of these boots a lot! The green is fantastic, almost a nice camouflage as well which might suit your use case. The looks are pretty good if not a bit bulkier than expected. The reason I took off a star is that I find them to be quasi-comfy, not great at the moment. I'm hoping I can break them in however, but yeah, these don't feel great right out of the box.

The boots are exactly what it was noted. We had no major snow or chilly weather yet so not sure about the weather or water proofing either. Just waiting for that.

Boot looks great, but it NOT WATERPROOF!In heavy rain, my toes got wet, apparently through the top.If you want something waterproof, look elsewhere!

I used to love the military issue Gore-Tex boots but they are an arm and a leg for a civilian, even if you have a military buddy with access to the PX. Enter these boots. With a similar design to yesteryear's Gore-Tex boots, good soles and traction, sturdy seams and excellent layering and breathable material where needed, these boots are a pleasure to hike in. Break in time is a bit on the high side but once they are, you will love them. I was impressed and that is not an easy thing to do with me when talking footwear. The fit was on point. They aren't the standard Chinese sizes as if somehow your feet are too big. All of this comes together with a good price and choice of colors to make these an excellent buy.
