Very warm with just one pair of med. wt. merino wool socks. A little stiff for the first time then easier flex. I think these are the same as brand name at almost twice the price.

Walking in wet grass on daily hikes my feet kept warm comfy and dry. Stepping in pools of water deep enough to cover the toe and water seeped in immediately at the base of the tongue.
