I read the reviews and decided to purchase this because1. It was cheaper than getting some of the other single hands2. I knew I would be painting the hand no matter which one I ordered3. I only needed the right hand so that I would have Thing from Addams FamilyOnce I painted the hand it looked normal. Hubby paints miniatures so I had flesh colors to turn this into something more realistic. Two coats over the entire hand and a slightly different color for the nails and I had exactly what I was looking for. I'm going to put velcro on it and the outfit to be worn and it's going to look marvelous!

How perfect if you are looking for the THING from Addams Family this is perfect. I tied and sewed it with clear fishing line onto my daughter’s shoulder/upper arm of her costume she was Wednesday and she looooved the hand sitting on her, she got lots of compliments. It comes with both hands we just used one. It’s a thick plastic hand, pretty hard not rubbery it’s not soft or bendy. So I had to tie the fish line to the hand and secure the line then sew that onto the costume and it was a tad heavy it pulls the costume down so you need to let it just sit on your shoulder.

OK - As many people are doing, I needed this for an Addams Family costume. Fortunately, I only need one hand, and one of them is pretty much dead-on (pun intended...) The basic shape and closed back were perfect, and accurately represent "Thing" from the Addams Family.As mentioned in other reviews, the color may not be as pale as you may want. I found that leaving it outdoors in the sun for a few days helped to fade the color into just the right hue and translucency. The nails can be detailed with some white paint and clear, for that perfectly manicured look.The hand is slightly flexible, but don't count on this bending like rubber or latex. It won't. It's pretty stiff, as the dismembered hand from a dead person is likely to be. It can be attached to your costume using Velcro and is durable to last for many Halloweens to come.Now as for the "other" hand in the set, well let's just call him Thing's ugly stepbrother. That one looks much less realistic, with three fingers sloppily molded together. With a little creativity and some desperation, you may be able to find a purpose for this hand as well. Use your imagination...Have fun with these and remember to avoid taking any hand outs this Halloween!

Like many other reviewers, I bought this for a Wednesday Addams costume. Luckily Thing is a right hand, because the left hand is really messed up. The fingers are fused together.I found that is was too pink and "tan" in comparison to my Wednesday complexion so I painted the hand a neutral ivory with acrylic paint.I attached it to my dress by hot gluing a piece of velcro to the hand and sewing the velcro to my dress.Everyone loved Thing!10/10 would recommend.

I love that this asks me if the product fit as expected - LolI used this hand to velcro to my shoulder as "Thing" from the Addams Family for a Morticia costume - It worked perfectly. It looks realistic enough (the veins are a nice touch) though it wasn't as pale as I was. :) It's not flexible, so I was worried about how it would work out for my costume, but it worked!

Try to bundle w/ other items to take advantage of Amazon free shipping offer for this ($35 checkout total needed) and then I'd say it's worth the price. As another reviewer mentioned, left hand a little less realistic than right due to an over-sized finger on that hand, but overall useful for a variety of Halloween or other display purposes. No blood or protruding bone is a nice option, hence 'stage hands' item designation. Looks fairly realistic for lightweight plastic (vs latex), so actually I give it a 3 1/2 star rating.
